Travel Insurance
We learned the hard way the importance of proper travel insurance coverage. Our credit card, Chase Sapphire Reserve, includes the benefit of comprehensive travel insurance as well as good travel expense rebate, so we used it to book all our travel. It wasn’t until we needed to use the insurance did we find out that the insurance does not cover trips that last more than 3 months. With this fine print, we were not covered. As such, we list this item here not to share expert information, as we were also unprepared. We list it here in hopes that you will look into this and make sure you’re covered, either through your credit card or through a different insurance plan.
